Therapist's Approach

We are a group of doctoral and master's level psychologists and social workers with specialized training in effectively treating psychological and behavioral difficulties. We utilize only empirically supported research-based therapies and have the desire, training and skillfulness to help.

Dr. Loverich is the Clinical Director and primary Licensed Psychologist in the practice. She  received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2000 where she specialized in understanding and changing excessive behaviors, and cognitive behavioral assessment and treatment for a variety of difficulties. Dr. Loverich has been a university professor since 2001, where she maintains a research program that focuses on improving existing psychotherapies. Dr. Loverich has been a psychotherapist since 1994, and has supervised master's and doctoral students in training since 2001. Special areas of interest include improving mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies, sustaining weight loss, family-based weight loss and obesity prevention, anxiety and self-value, trauma recovery, helping people to create the lives they want to live, and the stress of marginalization. Dr. Loverich has been fully licensed to practice psychology in the state of Michigan since 2007

Elizabeth Rodems is a fully licensed clinical social worker with experience in inpatient and outpatient settings in southeast Michigan. Elizabeth has worked with diverse clients dealing with concerns including depression, anxiety, eating concerns, bereavement, and chronic illness. She practices mindfulness-based therapies including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, MBCT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. She received her MSW from the University of Michigan and completed her field education at Michigan  Medicine.

​Lindsey Bunio is a Limited Licensed Psychologist who earned her master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University. She has received training in evidenced-based therapies including traditional CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Behavioral Activation, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for adults with a range of psychological, emotional, and behavioral problems. Lindsey has worked with a diverse set of clients understanding the individual’s presenting problem(s) within their unique context. Common areas of concern include depression, anxiety, substance use, eating concerns, and challenging relationship dynamics. She is also experienced in working with people with cognitive decline and their care partners. Special areas of interest include mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies, sustaining weight loss, behavioral health, and helping people to enhance quality of life through changes that help to support the lives they want to live. She is supervised by Dr. Loverich.

​Audrey Blematl is a Limited Licensed Psychologist who earned her master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University. She has received training in evidenced-based therapies including traditional CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, other mindfulness-based therapies, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for adults with a range of psychological, emotional, and behavioral presenting problems. Audrey has worked with a diverse set of clients understanding the individual’s presenting problem(s) within their unique context. Common areas of concern include depression, anxiety, substance use, eating concerns, and challenging relationship dynamics. She is also experienced in working with people through unique life transitions. Special areas of interest include mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies, eating and weight loss, relapse prevention for substance abuse, and helping people to enhance quality of life through changes that help to support the lives they want to live. She is supervised by Dr. Loverich.
